Many Thanks to be Given…

The Fallen Linemen Organization has started Lineman Rodeo season and we have many thanks to give. We attended FMEA Florida Rodeo in Ocala, FL a few weeks ago. We owe many thanks to FMEA for allowing us to set up a booth during the Welcome Reception on Friday. It was great meeting all of the linemen and their families. America Safety generously donated a basket of tools for us to give away, while raising money for FLO. The basket went over amazingly and everyone wanted the opportunity to take it home with them.   It was a great chance to spread the word about FLO and raise money.

Before heading to the APPA Rodeo, Mike Boyd went to SWESE Conference in San Antonio where he was given time on stage to inform the Safety Directors and their counterparts about who FLO is and how we help the families of the fallen and severely injured. The SWESW embraced FLO with open arms and we greatly appreciate the opportunity that they gave us on such short notice. It is amazing how quickly FLO is growing and becoming known throughout the industry.

Last weekend, FLO attended APPA Rodeo and it was extremely successful! The APPA donated the booth to us, which we are so thankful for. Everyone at the Rodeo was so welcoming and we had a blast meeting them. The event was very successful for FLO, allowing us to spread the word and raise funds to help the families of the fallen and severely injured. For those of you that did not know, the APPA Rodeo is also where the Lineman Hall of Fame inductees are announced and inducted. Our own Bill Bosch accepted his father’s induction and it was a wonderful event to be a part of that evening. Andy Price and the International Lineman Museum and Hall of Fame have been so supportive of FLO and we appreciate our growing relationship! National Association of Journeyman Lineman headed by Bill Bosch and his wife Karen also held a raffle where they gave the proceeds to FLO during the Rodeo. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful organizations that work in conjunction with us. This is only the beginning of Rodeo season, so if you have not had the chance to meet us, there will be many more opportunities.

Last, but certainly not least we need to say thank you to MAKE Motorsports. They are donating 10% of their earnings in the Camper Truck Series to the Fallen Linemen Organization. This truck is the first industry specific truck racing in the Series. They will put all of the fallen linemen from 2014 on the truck for 2 different races in honor of all electrical line workers. Be sure to follow the #50 truck all season!
