Bill Bosch- Board Member
Bill started in the utility business when he was 10 years old, working with his father Cliff Bosch, product manager of AB Chance Company. He was destined to follow in his footsteps and has 32 years of his own in the electric utility industry. His experience spans from 16 years in Las Vegas, 11 years in Vermont managing a municipal and coop, and 5 years in Georgia, managing, investor owned, coop and munis have proved priceless. Positions held over the years include Lineman, System Operations Manager, Manger of Distribution and Transmission, Engineering field liaison, COO and now serves as Managing Utility Director of Griffin Power. His desire was to understand every aspect of a utility company and not just manage, but to understand and improve. Having bought another utility larger than their own and integrating all systems, employees, territory and process was one of his proudest accomplishments. Installing CSM, AMR, AMI, outage management, automatic switching, mapping and engineering software, along with wind, gas reclamation and solar renewable projects are some of his other projects tackled over the years. Bill also sits on the Electric Cities of Georgia Board of Directors and is Chairman and founder of the National Association of Journeyman Lineman. Bill is married with five children, his wife Karen is in politics, and along with Bill run a non-profit motorcycle foundation.
